The below L & M litters are anticipated late fall 2020, ready to go home approximately late 2020 and early 2021. Please be in touch to reserve a puppy by filling out our application and providing a deposit to reserve your preference of male or female, and to discuss if a Ca' Rigada Drahthaar is right for you.
Pan x Vroni
Both dogs were raised, trained, and handled through their exams personally by Simone. Pan was a popular sire in Europe, but is one of only two sons of Flic von Wollsberg (Austria) in the USA. He is also an FCI conformation champion and placed 3rd in the World Dog Show. Vroni is the perfect hunting partner and companion, with a sensitive nose and strong desire to cooperate with her handler. She never met a dog she did not like. Both Pan and Vroni have qualified and placed in CAC trials in addition to their JGV tests. This same pairing produced Eike della Ca' Rigada (conformation/coat 10/12), who placed first in every breed test entered - including the VGP in Germany (1./320UF) - all before 2 years of age. Vroni is the grandmother of the vom Böckenhagen L-IV litter; check out our young male Lux IV vom Böckenhagen. Both dogs have grade A hips (highest grade, no hip dysplasia), and are clear of elbow dysplasia, osteochondritis dissecans, and von Willebrand disease (by DNA). Both are clear of all testable genetic and breed-specific disease by Embark Vet advanced DNA testing. This is a repeat breeding due to the exceptional E litter; do not hesitate to ask for photos of the prior litter or to be in touch with an owner.
Olaf x Cora
Simone remembered Olaf's impressive performance at the 2013 Hegewald, and is pleased the relocation of Ca' Rigada to the USA presents the opportunity for Olaf to sire a litter. Cora is a daughter of Nonatula Pan II, and one of the finest hunters Simone has ever trained. She is tireless and fearless in the field, with aptitude for all manner of game. In addition to her JGV tests, Cora has qualified and placed in CAC trials. Cora has grade A hips (highest grade, no hip dysplasia), is clear of elbow dysplasia, osteochondritis dissecans, and von Willebrand disease (by Embark DNA). Additionally, Cora is clear of all testable genetic and breed-specific disease by Embark Vet advanced DNA testing. Olaf is grade B hips (second highest grade, no hip dysplasia) and is clear by DNA of von Willebrand disease. To see offspring from of Cora, please see Havana della Ca' Rigada and Helde della Ca' Rigada. Helde will complete her VGP in Fall 2020, and we are happy to put you in touch with an owner from that litter (H).
