DEUTSCH DRAHTHAAR BREEDING & TRAINING
PERFORMANCE SPORTING DOGS
CA' RIGADA KENNEL
di Simone Favalli
The Deutsch Drahthaar, carefully bred and properly trained, is a versatile hunter capable of mastering all terrains and situations - from pointing upland birds to retrieving waterfowl, to tracking blood and fur of any size game, as well as the pursuit and delivery of even injured prey. As breeders, we know no amount of instruction can develop a dog beyond its inherent genetic potential. Our puppies descend from proven bloodlines and accomplished ancestors, as documented by their health testing, hunting performance, and trial accomplishments.
A hunting dog must be healthy, cooperative, intelligent, and emotionally stable to learn and perform reliably. In addition to unparalleled performance in the field, hunters must also excel as human companions, who seamlessly adapt to family life and all social scenarios. These objectives are best achieved with the guidance of an experienced trainer who understands the how, what, when, and why of canine and hunting dog behavior. We are experienced trainers of companion dogs and all hunting breeds, with international-level trialing success in multiple styles.
Featuring our up-and-coming picks for the next generation as well as our established dames and sires, these are the dogs of Ca' Rigada. To inquire about our upcoming litters or a particular dame or sire, please do not hesitate to contact us.

“Exactly three years ago the adventure began, and since then from quails to pheasants, from hares to snipes, from woodcock to cats, robins and porcupines, we have stopped them all... when Jaeger made me a master.
Simone gave me a dog, a brother, and a companion with whom I share my passion.”
— Lorenzo Budini (Ercole "Jaeger" della Ca' Rigada)
